Do you guys forget they recaptured used around 100,000 in FY2005.
The unused visas between 2000 and 2006 is just 101,596 only, after 50,000 recaptured for nurses. Not 181,000. It is wrong info.
If they recapture from 1994 to 2006, then we will get 216,000 EB visas.

I got an approval email from CRIS last week on my I-140.
Today I received an email saying the notice that USCIS sent was returned as undeliverable.
Any one has similar experience? Where does the I-140 approval notice go- Attorney or Employer address?

A similar situation happened to a friend of mine. It is very easy, talk to a good lawyer and you should have them very soon..

Currently i am asking my employer to refund me the Medical expenses that they have been charging me without my knowledge. Since they are not responding back to my questions, i have threatened them that i will pursue for my GC expenses also that they promised to cover (also documented in my offer letter).
My current status is EAD and i no longer work for that Employer and i am out of job and looking for employment right now.

now they are saying it as "Priority Appointment" and the link is available when you create the application. so get HDFC receipt which is valid for 1yr and create an application, fill DS-156/157, add your dependents if any and then you will see a page which has link "priority appointment".
so now you can see this only after creating the application, vfs changed it. you can email vfs site for details.
Disclaimer: I'm not an immigration attroney, so please consult one for your situations as laws/procedures are changing constantly.
Interesting..If I visit VFS in person when I'm in Chennai, How soon will I get the appointment. My visa expires in Feb'07 and I'm going to Chennai for 3 weeks in Nov. So If I don't get appt I can always try for the next trip..

Unfortunately for renewal and replacement EAD you will have to pay the new fee of $340 and yes your EAD will be valid for only one year.

What is the difference between L1B and H1B? Why don't companies hire on L1B when H1B's are over? Thanks.
L1B is comany transfer, for L1B company need to have good revenue for sponsoring L1b and L1b holder must work on the it�s country for minimum of year. Now a days there is restrictions like only computer back ground people need to apply for L1 ( BE/B.Tech in CSE,EEE,ECE) on this because companies are misusing it for no annual cab.
Since it is company transfer H1B is not eligible for L1B ( you have to work in the company home country for 1 year to be eligible) but L1B is eligible for H1b. But many of the Indian companies are not sponsoring green cards for L1A and L1b of then do then they will also face retrogression.

I strongly discourage the word "Attroney" for everything. Just because of memebers like kriskris these Attroney's are living lavishly. What the heck these Attroneys know that we don't know. Don't we know how to write our names? Don't we know how to fill an application form? Please stop saying "Attroney" for everything. These are not complex things. Please note according to one survey 70% of Americans don't know how to fill Bank application. Attroneys are just making the money out of this situation.

no u cant, u would need to take and infopass appointment, but you could talk to cust care and open an SR first.
to talk to an IO at the texas service center use the following
Call 1-800-375-5283
Press 1
Press 2
Press 2
Press 6
Press 1
Now enter your receipt number
press 1
press 1 (now listen to the case update info)
press 3
press 4
(now if you listen a male voice prompting you to hold the call that means the call is going to IOs desk, if it says no IO is available, it will redirect it to NSC, you can hang up and try the next morning)
remember u will have to call in the moring before 11.30 to be able to talk to an IO.

Your employer should contact VSC immediately using the contact channels set up for premium processing cases (I believe they have dedicated email addresses and telephone numbers for premium processing).

Ladies and Gentlemen,
As a EB2-India hopeful I was Current in Aug/Sept 2008, and had a 99.9% of hope of getting approval. However, they did nothing then though many with a lot lower (later) PD's and RD's were approved.
Now suddenly, I got several sets of emails with "Card production ordered", "Approval notice sent" and "Wecome as a New permanent resident" messages (some more than one with same message).
So, may be USCIS is not following any PD dates announced in Visa Bulletins, but this time for good. Ironically, I also got emails on my AP approval, which is dated a day later than GC approval. Sequence of LUDs is - AP received 11/11 with a soft LUD on 12/10, I-485 approval on 12/11, AP approval on 12/12. Got another set of emails today with similar contents as in emails dated 12/11.
Perhaps a lot is going on to clear old cases. Have hopes, and do something so that your file comes to someone's attention. ....Best to all....

For the record, that did seem to help and can be credited (at least partially) for the reversal of USCIS' stated position during the July '02 visa bulletin fiasco. It also brought IV and our issues a fair amount of publicity.
It's easy to be an armchair critic... at least IV as an organization does something. :)
Regardless, if you have any creative suggestions, feel free to post.

Soft LUD for me. It was so soft that it didnt even update the date.
