Charlize Theron was born in Benoni, South Africa, on the 7th of August 1975. Her father Charles worked on the family's road-construction business, and also had a farm which mother Gerda took over after Charles' death in 1990.

Her hard working parents instilled genuine family values in her. At the age of 6, young Charlize began studying ballet, a pursuit that would command her attention throughout her adolescent years. Whenever she was not dancing, she devoted her free time to a consuming passion for American movies.

Charlize had to use dance and her imagination to entertain herself when not tending for the farm animals. After dancing in Johannesburg, she began modeling in Milan, Italy by the time she was 16.

After tiring of modeling, Theron returned to her first love, dancing, which resulted in a move to New York to dance with the Joffrey Ballet. Unfortunately, her career was halted by a knee injury, which led Theron at her mother's behest to travel to Los Angeles to try her luck with acting.

Charlize eventually ended up in line at a bank with the final check from her various employments in New York, and threw an impressive tantrum when the teller refused to cash the check because it was drawn on an out-of-state bank. Hollywood talent manager John Crosby happened to be standing in line behind her, and, after helpfully explaining that she could cash her out-of-state check at any post office, asked if she were, perchance, an actress. Somewhat flustered, Theron replied that she wasn't, but that she fully intended to become one.

With no money to pay for a coach to perfect her English accent, Charlize set out to lose her South African accent by singing along to popular music and watching television shows to study the American accent.

Months of unsuccessful auditions, enough to daunt the less-dedicated, finally led, in 1996, to a bit part in a Children of the Corn sequel, and a steamy turn in 2 Days in the Valley. She was cast in That Thing You Do!, after Tom Hanks was extremely impressed by her knack for acting. She then appeared in 1997's Trial and Error, co-starring Michael Richards, and had a supporting role in The Devil's Advocate, which starred Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino.
She was noticed and work began to come in steadily. The subsequent Mighty Joe Young, 1998 netted Theron more positive notices. Taliana María Vargas Carrillo born December 20, 1987 in Santa Marta is Miss Colombia 2007 and Miss Universe first runner-up 2008. Vargas is a Colombian student of Journalism at the Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Virginia.

Vargas is of Greek descent through her grandparents, and has Italian relatives. She speaks fluent Spanish, English, and Italian, as well as some Greek and Arabic.

Vargas was crowned as Miss Colombia on November 12, 2007, thus bringing the first crown to her home department of Magdalena, Colombia. During the three-week long competition, she was also awarded with the Miss Elegance, Best Face awards and the queen of the police.

During the pageant in the Best In Bikini event (which had no bearings on the selection of the top 15 semi-finalists), Vargas was awarded 2nd place while Miss Mexico, Elisa Nájera, took first place. On July 14, 2008 during the pageant's finals, Vargas was announced as one of the 15 semi-finalists. In the swimsuit competition, she received the highest score with 9.433, thus entering the top 10 in first place. During the evening gown portion, she received one of the highest televised scores in recent years: 9.829. Vargas thus became one of the 5 final contestants, coming in first place. However, after the interview portion, it was Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela who would went on to win title of Miss Universe 2008 while Vargas ended up as first runner-up. Biography

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, on June 18th, 1983, her father was Eduardo Solari, manager of the Atlético Junior football club at the time. She emigrated to Argentina when she was 3 years old. She grew up in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe province, where she still lives today. She is the sister of three famous football (soccer) players; Santiago Solari, born in 1976, who plays in San Lorenzo de Almagro, Esteban Solari born in 1980 and David Solari, so she comes from a family very linked to the sport.

In 2001 she won a contest for modeling agency Dotto Models, where she started her career, lending her face to local and international brands like Kosiuko, Caro Cuore, Class Life, Riplay and Zara. In Europe, she also worked with designers Roberto Cavalli and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

The child of hippies, McGowan was born in Florence, Italy to a French mother and Irish father.

As the second oldest of six children, McGowan was raised on an Italian commune run by the Children of God cult. Her family relocated to Oregon when McGowan was ten, at which point, not only could she not speak English, but she had yet to see a movie; in fact, she didn't even know about them. Her education consisted of little artsy schools and home schooling from her mother.
