Orando Bloom is an English actor who is best know as Elf Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Orlando Bloom was born on January 13, 1977, in Canterbury, England. Orlando Bloom is married to model Miranda Kerr and they have one son Flynn Bloom.

In 1993, at the age of 16, Bloom joined the National Youth Theatre for two years. Bloom then went on to further his training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Just days before he graduated from Guildhall in 1999, Bloom got a role in Peter Jackson's The Lord of The Rings trilogy.  He had originally auditioned for the role of Faramir in The Lord of the Rings trilogy but was instead cast in the role of Elf Warrior Legolas.

Now Orlando Bloom has appeared in many big movies such as the Pirates of the Caribbean series. There he played the blacksmith pirate Will Turner. He has also played in Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, Elizabethtown and Troy. In the future he will be seen in The Three Musketeers and he will also appear in the upcoming film The Hobbit.
